Goods in storage rarely come to harm from theft. They come to harm from moisture, pressure and being lost track of.
Off the floor
Goods go onto racking rather than being stacked on the floor. That keeps them away from damp and stops heavy items crushing the ones beneath.
Against humidity
In coastal cities especially, wood, upholstery and paper absorb moisture over weeks. They stay wrapped for the whole storage period rather than only while they travel.
Counted in and out
- Every carton is inventoried as it arrives
- The same list is used when it leaves
- Items released mid-way are logged against it
Insured throughout
Cover runs for the whole time goods are held, not only the legs either side. Anything lost is refunded at 150% of its declared value.
