A move is priced from what is in your home, how far it travels, and how hard it is to get in and out of the buildings at each end. Anything quoted before someone has seen those three things is a guess.
What a local move costs
Within a city, a 1 BHK usually starts between ₹6,600 and ₹7,700 depending on the city, with Hyderabad at the lower end and Gurgaon at the higher. A 4 BHK within the same city runs from about ₹20,900 to ₹24,200. The spread between cities reflects what it costs to run crews and vehicles there, not a different standard of work.
What an intercity move costs
Between cities the load size matters more than the room count. A part load shares a truck and costs less, but waits for the truck to fill. A full container leaves once your goods are loaded. On the longest runs, Bangalore or Chennai to the NCR, a 1 BHK part load starts around ₹24,000.
What moves the number
- Distance between the two addresses
- The volume of goods, not just the number of rooms
- Floor level and whether there is a working lift
- Items that need a custom crate, such as art or a piano
- The date, since month ends and summer are busiest
Why the survey comes first
We do not quote a final figure until a surveyor has walked your home. That figure then goes into the Written Commitment Bond, and your invoice cannot exceed it by more than 5%. The survey is what makes that cap possible, because we are not guessing at volume.
